An app for tipping service providers in all hospitality sectors:
Problem: Many service institutions take shares of the tip/gratuity from the service providers, then redistribute it. Interviewing select persona revealed that customers assume the provider is getting all the tips, or leave less tips when they find out how it's distributed. Challenge:
Finding a solution to for service providers to keep 100% of their tips, without the institution getting a cut.
Creating a platform to showcase their specialties and build a following.
Solution:
Customers can locate the service provider on the app, follow them, tip them, find out about specials or events via the provider's social forum.
Service providers can bank their tips, reducing the clutter caused by change, they can also reach their followers directly with messages or by blasting videos.
My Role: Research, information architecture, high-fidelity mockups, strategy, design, interactive prototyping for the 2 experience interfaces (provider and tipper), collaborating with developers, advertising, website design and building, social campaigning, marketing funnel setup. Deliverables:
A website to serve as guide and for sharing the download links.
Two experience interfaces:
Access for the service providers to manage their social profile, interactions, and earned tips via a banking system.
Access for customers to locate service providers, share content, and send money.
Marketing material: Social posts, emails, conversion forms, CRM campaigns design.
Social Posts, teasers, announcements.
Prototyping on Adobe XD, other tools include Illustrator and Photoshop, collaboration via Adobe Cloud.
I designed and built the website on Weebly, with custom CSS, and 3rd party integration apps. The imagery was built and optimized in Photoshop, the icons in Illustrator.
