While most are finally honing work-from-home skills, I'm wondering who is honing working-from-anywhere! I was less than 10 years old when my school brought in new computers that worked only by commands. As I was looking at that cursor flicker, I remember to this day the feeling that rose from between the flickers: One day, I want to work from ANYWHERE! The planet will be my office, and world citizens will be my team. As a creative, I understood since back then that inspiration is 80% of my work, and skill building is 20%, only if built at 100% of the 20. Since, I pursued every skill that would help me communicate.
Film, blue-grid millimeter paper, midi mixers, dark-room photo manipulation, charcoal, plume-calligraphy, model painting, stage set-up, in-person casting, green screens, recording studios, radio jingles, etc... And today, Adobe Experience Cloud, remote collaboration, agile and SAAS environments and every tool that can help me translate, collaborate and communicate. Our human-centered experience is a global one. Past, present and future are defined by the tools we develop and skills we learn. I'm still the same person today, enriched by amazing teams I've worked with, and inspiring mentors I've encountered, with a great understanding of what's been, and a relentless craving for the growth that this mind-blowing decade is about to bring!
